I find myself here in front of the computer this morning because I am awake far earlier than normal. Most parents of small children are normally awake at this hour and have been for a while. I, however, have been blessed with a child who likes to sleep in. She sleeps for 11 to 12 hours a night and usually wakes up between 830am and 9am. So you will understand how I can be bleary eyed when I am awakened just before 7am because a certain little girl has a poopy diaper that needs to be changed. Not only did she need a clean diaper, she was wide awake, chatty, and ready to play. Oy! I think I may need to nap when she does this morning. Yet even though I'm wishing for coffee or more sleep, I can't help but be amazed at this little girl. Tomorrow she will be eleven months old. She is so close to walking on her own that I keep thinking it will happen any day. She chatters non-stop even though there are no "real" words yet. Her sense of humor is awesome and she consistently cracks me up with her funny faces and noises. She points to things for a variety of reasons--this morning she was pointing down the hall because she knew her Papa was down there and wanted to go see him. All in all, I can barely believe that only a year ago this little girl with a big personality was still crammed inside me, kicking my bladder and waiting to make her debut.
